Software AG has announced that AIA Group Limited, which comprises the largest independent, publicly listed, pan-Asian, life insurance company, is using Software AG's webMethods platform for AIA Vitality.
webMethods is a key component of Software AG’s Digital Business Platform, an integrated set of proven technologies and tools to manage the digital transformation and implement new business designs. It comprises five seamlessly integrated building blocks comprising business and IT transformation, analytics and decisions, integration (including API), process, and in-memory data.
AIA Vitality is a groundbreaking science-backed, wellness program that enables AIA customers to manage and improve their health more effectively and be rewarded for doing so. To-date it has been successfully launched in Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
Andrew Bruce, chief architect, Group Technology and Operations, AIA, said: “AIA Vitality is a transformational initiative to support healthy living habits, and its rollout has been supported by Software AG, which clearly demonstrated their understanding of our business through their integrated solution.”
Each country-based AIA Vitality Membership Management Platform is based on an enterprise architecture that is less ‘hard-wired’ and more microservices-based, allowing AIA to create reusable business objects resulting in a more agile business environment and a faster time to market in each of their markets.
4,000 Companies Choose Software AGs webMethods
Software AG’s webMethods platform is a powerful middleware solution used by more than 4,000 companies worldwide, including many Fortune 1000 companies. webMethods enables firms to connect all their different, disparate on-premise, hybrid or Cloud software seamlessly. This allows companies to unify and optimize their A2A, B2B, Mobile, Big Data, Cloud and social applications across a single platform.
Bruce continued: “webMethods provides us with the visibility and control that allows us to manage a very dynamic and fast-paced IT environment ensuring we can add new offerings for our customers, or address any issues as soon as they arise.”
webMethods Simplifies Integration and Reuse of Business Applications
The webMethods platform was selected for its ability to simplify the integration and flexible reuse of business applications across a heterogeneous and diverse set of platforms, which means AIA can create common services and share them across each country’s implementation of AIA Vitality.
