Bridge Alliance is the world’s first mobile alliance to offer Consumer eSIM remote subscription management, optimized for the latest generation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices across its members’ footprint in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa.
With seamless connectivity for consumer IoT devices like the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier 4G, customers can easily connect to any Bridge Alliance member network and have immediate internet access with their devices. They will also be able to remotely manage their mobile subscriptions with ease, using the platform powered by Gemalto.
This announcement follows Bridge Alliance’s launch of the world’s first alliance-to-alliance eSIM solution for Industrial IoT such as automotive vehicles, which was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2016, setting the stage for a growing market of eSIM-equipped consumer products.
“In addition to being the largest mobile alliance in the APAC, this makes us the first mobile alliance to offer effortless connectivity for industrial and consumer IoT devices,” said Eileen Tan, Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Alliance.
“We are pleased to partner with Gemalto for this solution and enable our members to embrace the latest innovation, in support of GSMA’s Embedded SIM specifications for consumer devices.”
Singtel, a founding member of Bridge Alliance, recently launched the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier 4G in the Singapore market, leveraging this newly acquired group eSIM capability.
