Driven by strong demand from Cisco customers, Nutanix has independently validated CiscoUnified Computing System (UCS) C-Series servers to run its Enterprise Cloud Platformsoftware.

Nutanix software has been extensively tested on multiple Cisco UCSC-Series rack-mount servers to run business-critical applications at scale.

The companies claim UCS C-Series customers can gain immediate access to the full breadth of NutanixEnterprise Cloud capabilities, including multiple hypervisor support, advanced data optimization, scale-out VM, file and block storage services, one-click software upgrades and more.

Deployment of Nutanixsoftware on UCS C-Series hardware is fully supported by Nutanix’s global support and services teams throughout the entire IT lifecycle, including initial installation, infrastructure scaling and troubleshooting.

Joint customers can also leverage their investment in Cisco networking technologies, including Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), to build a software-defined network and datacenter. Nutanix supports ACI by incorporating the hypervisor into a tightly integrated infrastructure stack that leverages proven technology integration and validated interoperability. Datacenter managers can confidently run NutanixEnterprise Cloud Platform software on their existing UCS C-Series deployments with no change to their networking architecture or operations.

Nutanix channel partners are embracing this expanded portfolio of server platforms to deliver to their end-customers a next-generation datacenter that elevates IT to focus on the applications and services that power their business.

“For customers seeking an innovative hyperconverged solution with enterprise class management features, Nutanix on UCS is a game changer. The solution has demonstrated impressive scalability and performance results during initial tests in our labs.” said Vinu Thomas, Chief Technology Officer at Presidio, a $2.9 billion IT solutions provider. “The Nutanix on UCS offering, combined with our Presidio Managed Cloud, enables true multi cloud management, orchestration and provisioning across enterprise, private and public cloud infrastructures. It’s a key step in enabling our customers to realize the benefits of a multi cloud architecture as a critical element of their digital transformation.”

“Silos of storage, compute, virtualization and networking in datacenters can severely limit an organization’s agility and alignment to business requirements,” said Steve Dowling, vice president of Infrastructure Strategy, Sirius Computer Solutions. “The application flexibility of Nutanix cloud software in conjunction with Cisco® UCS systems is an ideal platform for quickly deploying and scaling fast-growing workloads."

“This combination of Nutanix software and CiscoUCS has run flawlessly in our integration labs and has demonstrated superb performance as we are evaluating it for processing HCL’s business application in our own corporate datacenter,” said Kalyan Kumar, CTO and EVP, HCL Technologies.

“The requirement for more flexible infrastructure is urgent if IT is to keep up in supporting the changing needs of the business”, said Sven Eichelbaum, General Manager, SVA System Vertrieb Alexander GmbH. “As a leading System Integrator in Germany we must be on the cutting edge in helping customers deploy new applications to deliver new services. The enterprise cloud capabilities of Nutanix used in conjunction with the highly integrated Cisco UCS® servers provide the right foundation to quickly and efficiently support these new applications. The Nutanix-on-UCS solution is available in our Demo/Lab Center located in Wiesbaden.”

“Because of Cisco’s widespread adoption across the enterprise, Nutanix has seen strong global demand to extend our software to the Cisco UCSplatform,” said Dheeraj Pandey, founder and CEO of Nutanix.

The NutanixEnterprise Cloud Platform for Cisco UCSrack-mount servers is available now through select Cisco and Nutanix partners worldwide.
