Lenovo and Juniper Networks have signed a new agreement in which Lenovo will facilitate distribution of Juniper’s products on a standalone basis or together with Lenovo’s products in China.
This agreement follows on the global strategic relationship announced between the two companies in March 2016 to deliver next-generation data center infrastructure solutions for enterprise and web-scale customers.
Servers, storage products, and networking equipment are the three core components of a data center solution. In recent years, Lenovo’s strength in the areas of servers and storage products has increased rapidly. Lenovo products lead the industry in reliability, performance, engineering and security. Lenovo also enjoys high customer satisfaction, being able to lay a solid foundation for the converged infrastructure market and deliver high end-to-end value. By deepening the relationship with Juniper Networks, Lenovo expects to build a powerful lineup of networking products.
As network traffic growth and cloud adoption continues to escalate, customers will require new architectural approaches and new network infrastructure upgrades across wide area networks, data centers and branch offices to increase agility and drive down operational costs. As the industry leader in network innovation, Juniper Networks in collaboration with Lenovo expects to bring best-in-class networking solutions into thousands of mid- and large enterprises, as well as service provider/cloud customers in China to help in their transition to new architectures.
“Lenovo is striving to become the industry leader of data center solutions,” said Fuyao Tong, Senior Vice President of the Lenovo Group and President of Lenovo China. “We’ll leverage the industry’s most reliable, most efficient and most capable hardware systems, in addition to our numerous partners, including industry leaders and emerging startups, as well as our strong expertise, lifecycle IT service capability and powerful synergy to provide a new generation of data center solutions that are advanced and flexible and can be deployed on-demand for our customers, so that they can adapt to their own changing IT environment and business context, instead of getting stuck in certain stereotyped technical systems.”
“Our continuous relationship with Lenovo shows Juniper Networks’ great emphasis and long-term commitment to the China market,” said Daniel Hua, Senior Vice President and General Manager, APAC, Juniper Networks. “We believe this new agreement will enable us to drive growth and enhance our channel to market in China. Positioned as world-renowned industry leaders, we believe Juniper and Lenovo’s powerful alliance will bring world-class products and services to better serve our customers in China.”
